KASUPDA HALTS ILLEGAL BOREHOLE DRILLING ON PUBLIC ACCESS ROAD IN NARAYI

1. On Sunday, 5th July 2026, the attention of the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) was drawn to an illegal borehole drilling activity taking place on a public access road along the Narayi axis of Kaduna Metropolis.

2. Upon receiving the the report, the Management of KASUPDA, under the leadership of the Director hip of the Director General, Bldr. Abdurrahman Yahya, PhD, responded promptly in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force. The illegal activity was immediately stopped, and appropriate enforcement actions were initiated

3. KASUPDA reiterates that no individual or organization is permitted to encroach upon, obstruct, or carry out any unauthorized development on public roads, rights-of-way, drainage corridors, or other public infrastructure.

4. The Authority commends members of the public who promptly brought the incident to its attention and calls on all residents to remain vigilant by reporting illegal developments, encroachments, or acts capable of endangering public safety or undermining orderly urban development.
